DESCRIPTION

This new model the result of a tie-up between G-SHOCK and Johnny Cupcakes, an American apparel brand largely focused on unique graphic T-shirts. The base model is the big case GD-X6900, which starts with a mint green base color that is decorated with a splash of cupcake sprinkle color on the band. The Johnny Cupcakes logo on the face of the watch, the band loop, display characters, and buttons are done in pop colors for a multi-hued design. The backlight pattern resembles icing that is dripping down the side of a cupcake for a unique and fun look. All this plus a special package identifies this model as an integral part of the Johnny Cupcakes world view.

Design Inspiration
Johnny Cupcakes is known for its bright, fun, and topical t-shirts, and we wanted to create a watch that would compliment our unique take on apparel design. This watch carries the lighthearted approach to design that makes us stand out, but isn’t overly complicated or detailed to be uncomplimentary to one of our t-shirts.
We knew we wanted to use a pattern — something that had our signature on it — but didn’t want to simply smatter Johnny Cupcakes logos everywhere. That’s when we decided on the sprinkle idea. Sprinkles are the accent to a cupcake, they top it off and complete the whole look, and that’s exactly what a watch is to an outfit.
